About Robert...

Born inside the beltway Robert is proud to consider himself a Washingtonian. Robert currently owns a home in the Edgewood neighborhood and operates a successful small business off of 12th St. NE in the Brookland community.

Robert understands what it means to live and work in Ward 5.

Robert’s early pursuits and diverse background has led him to call New York City, Los Angeles, and the Virgin Islands home before resettling in DC in 2007. These experiences have built a skill set that allows Robert to understand diverse perspectives and to build fresh approaches to the issues and challenges facing Ward 5.

Robert knows how to work with diverse groups to achieve common goals.

Since Robert’s return to the District he has been an active member of the Community. Some of Robert’s volunteer service has extended to fundraising and service efforts for The Capital Area Food Bank, Bread for the City, and The Hope Marrietta Foundation. Most recently Robert was honored as one of "D.C.'s Finest Young Professionals" in recognition of his 2011 fundraising efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Robert cares about the community.

Through Robert’s seven years of service in the DC National Guard he has learned what it means to belong to an organization larger than one’s self. This time in service has molded Robert’s sense of dedication, honor, and perseverance.

Robert knows what it means to serve with integrity.
